SKEPTICAL? OR AFRAID? Pro-Trump primary wins in blue states leaves moderate Republicans skeptical of red wave.

They're afraid, because those pro-Trumpers are so very, very scary....

To themselves, not to 'We the People'. It seems 'moderate' Republicans are milquetoasts¹ who can't stand on their own two feet even with crutches and a cane. (And I'm not disparaging our disabled veterans; they can stand on two feet without crutches, canes -- or legs.)

Here's a random thought: Never let our leadership get so comfortable in office that they come to believe that they're indispensable. Hold them to account -- every hour of every day of their terms in office.

¹ Caspar Milquetoast is a comic strip character created in 1924 by cartoonist Harold T. Webster. Beginning a few years after the character's debut, the term milquetoast came to describe a timid or meek person. Caspar's last name is fitting because milk toast is a weak, bland concoction of buttered toast served in a dish of warm milk.
