WUHAN FLU [CORONAVIRUS] UPDATE for December 4, 2020:
Since last Friday, deaths continue to rise. Even though the number of deaths are rising, so are the number of confirmed cases, and death rates continue their decline. On October 4th, 2 months ago, the death rate per confirmed case was 2.7%. Today that rate is 1.9%. On October 4th the death rate as a function of total cases tested was 0.19%; today it's 0.16%.
So the long and short of it is that we're going into winter (indoors), where viruses typically spread faster, and so the number of infections is increasing. But the death rate continues to decline.
Georgia data remains in line with the national data. Confirmed cases are still rising, but deaths have declined below the October 4th date noted above. Hospitalizations continue to rise.
