HERE'S AN INTERESTING ARTICLE on the ups and downs of EV design.

Electric cars were supposed to usher in a new era of automotive styling. The thought was that once finally freed from the age-old constraints dictated by the pipes and plumbing of internal combustion, EVs would offer a blank slate for designers to revolutionize the form and function of the automobile. Instead, the EV market today is dominated by an increasingly broad selection of battery-powered cars that all look more or less just like their gas-powered counterparts.

FALLING LEAVES 2025 PREVIEW: My fall series will begin (for certain) by Oct 5th since we'll be gone until then.

In the meantime, here are a couple from late August, just before the leaves began to fall in earnest. This first is of our yard, where it seems the weakest trees are failing:

The next is of our pond, of which we now have a decent view by way of judicious tree trimming. The trees are still green but only because the winds have thinned the dead leaves out.

This last one is of the subdivision pond. It's still green and fairly thickly covered, mostly because it's well-protected from sun and wind.
