THEY NEVER LEARN: California wildfires burn 56,000 acres.

Every year southern California burns, and every year the state does nothing to prevent future fires because clearing the flammable brush out might harm endangered wildlife.

So tell me, how does being fried in the annual fires protect endangered wildlife? (Not to mention the lives of the people whose homes were burned down.)
