SEATTLE FOUND A NEW WAY TO END POVERTY ... export their poor to other cities where they can still get minimum-wage jobs.

NEW JERSEY COLLEGE PROFESSOR: I was "publicly lynched".
Nope. Tucker Carlson only handed her the rope. She was the one who fashioned the noose, tied it to a tree, climbed up on her soapbox, put the noose over her head, and jumped off.
Update: Oh, wait, it was rape. I guess therace black privilege card didn't work.

POTEMPKIN PROGRESSIVISM - mostly bluff, or real anger? My personal opinion is that it's real anger that their bluff has been called.

BEST COMMENT EVER ABOUT 'CULTURAL APPROPRIATION': "[C]an we apply cultural appropriation to men trying to segue into womanhood and vice versa?"
IT'S THE ONLY WAY WE CAN GET A WORD IN EDGEWISE: The universal phenomenon of men interrupting women.
LOS ANGELES TIMES: The case for restricting ‘hate-speech'. I'm okay with that - provided I'm the one who gets to decide what is hate speech.

FINISHING MOST EXPENSIVE HOUSE RACE EVER, Ossoff calls for campaign finance reform.
Like Jon Ossoff, I'd like to see a couple of campaign reforms too - the first being that the candidate must live in, and be a resident of, the district he/she proposes to represent for at least a year prior to the election. The second I'd like to see is a requirement that all the funds expended in support of the candidate be from the residents of the district in which the candidates are running.

SORRY, CLASS WARRIORS: unions aren't coming back. Except for public-sector (government) unions which, as Jacoby correctly notes, should be banned outright.

THE WORLD IS SICK OF POLITICIANS DOWNPLAYING TERRORISM: Our political leaders are basically telling us that this kind of terrorism, random and deadly, is the price we have to pay for their policies of multiculturalism and political correctness.
No. No it isn't. And if the politicians don't get it, they should get out.

DEMOCRATS doubling down on elitist snobbery.
The real problem for elites is the condescension on the social agenda. Trump voters dislike the snobbery.... [I]t is having American values mocked, scorned, and ridiculed on a daily basis that finally had enough Americans saying enough.Spot on.

FEDERAL REGULATION: Here's how it affects your pocketbook.
[A] new report estimated that if the costs of federal regulation flowed down to U.S. households, the average American family would pay $14,809 annually in a hidden regulatory tax. That's $14,809 in addition to income taxes, state taxes, and Social Security. $14,809 in addition to sales taxes, property taxes, and even estate taxes — where the government taxes you for being dead.Actuallly you do pay that bill; it's embedded in the cost of products and services you buy daily.

WATERGATE REDUX:

Nixon was a Republican; Obama is a Democrat.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:
This has to be the coolest June since Al Gore created global warming.
When I turn on a newscast, I expect news - factual news, not a series of PC nanny-state health and safety warnings. It's little wonder that Trump's 'fake news' term has taken hold.
One thing you can say about 'fake' news; it makes the news channels - CNN, MSNBC, and the like - much easier to ignore.

ISN'T THAT OBVIOUS? Many colleges fail to improve critical-thinking skills. If anything, they've done an outstanding job of destroying them.
CIVIL RIGHTS 'LEADER' compares Georgia Democrat Jon Ossoff to JFK. I never thought too highly of Kennedy, but comparing Ossoff to him is an insult to Kennedy's memory.
EVERGREEN STATE OFFICIALS ask student vigilantes to stop patrolling campus with baseball bats. Since it's the university demanding action, I think it's safe to assume the bat wielders are not the loons who have taken over the campus....

NEWT GINGRICH: Remembering D-Day. I find the last paragraph of Gingrich's article to be particularly prescient: "It took courage to defeat evil on D-Day in 1944. It will take courage to defeat [the] evil [of terrorism] today."
History is too important to ignore it; today should be another D-Day - in the war on terrorism.
