HEH: Drudge stands by Trump, and he's not alone. And I'm getting thoroughly pissed off at the RINOs, particularly John McCain, for backing away. McCain is an American war hero, no doubt, but anyone who tries to tell me that McCain hadn't heard far worse about women than anything Trump said is going to be laughed at to his/her/its face.
$2500/YR HEALTH CARE SAVINGS: Waaaaay down the memory hole.
THE NANNY STATE continues to run amuck.

At the risk of starting a new conspiracy theory, perhaps the FDA is merely a tool of the salt industry, and the FDA sodium reduction mandate is just a ploy to get consumers to buy - and hoard - more salt.
IMPLICATION OF SABOTAGE adds intrigue to SpaceX investigation of its Falcon 9 launch pad explosion on September 1.

As recently as this year, I would have dismissed this story out-of-hand as just another crazy conspiracy theory. But with the revelations that have come from a presidential campaign in full swing with a complete political outsider competing for power with the Democrat's (and Republican's) inside-the-beltway ruling elites, I'm no longer so sure.
IN A QUINTUPLE VICTORY FOR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS, a federal judge last week overturned a ban on carrying handguns in public, a ban on so-called assault weapons, caliber restrictions for long guns, a $1,000 tax on handguns, and a requirement that all guns be registered with the government.

It was in the Northern Mariana islands, but still the decision carries weight in the continental U.S.
A NEWLY LEAKED EMAIL from the Clinton campaign appears to show an MSNBC producer fawning over Hillary Clinton.

It's MSNBC. Enough said.
I WANT ONE: Walther PPS M2 pistol.
SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIORS whine over cultural appropriation at fiction festival.

My favorite response? "Clearly you've mistaken me for someone who gives a shit."
VOTER FRAUD IS A MYTH: With Republicans, maybe; with Democrats, not so much.
NOW THAT we've (more or less) completed our move from Virginia to Georgia, I'm restarting my annual 'Autumn Leaves' posts every Saturday from now through November showing the colors change as the leaves begin to fall.

Here's the first set of pictures. All were taken from various places around our home. It's a bit late starting, as the leaves have already begun to change.

First is the house itself, taken from the first (lower) driveway entrance.

From the carport, looking roughly west down the lower driveway.

This is from further down the road, just beyond the second (upper) driveway entrance.

Finally, two pictures, looking roughly southwest across the road past our house and looking roughly northeast across the pond at the bottom of the hill. Both pictures were taken from the carport/deck.

As the season progresses, the pond view will become clearer and the hill across from us will (hopefully) become visible.
WHY I LIKE LIVING IN RURAL GEORGIA: A short while ago we drove down to the local Post Office to put a letter in the mail that had missed the morning mail delivery. On the way back, we found the road blocked by a tree that had been blown down by the higher-than-normal due to hurricane Matthew winds.

About 6 cars (each way) were stopped, and rather than call 911 and wait, the drivers got out of their cars, lifted up the tree and moved it out of the road (including the young lady in the car in front of us, who opened her trunk and pulled out a machete to lop off some of the offending branches).

About 5 minutes later, we were all merrily on our way. All without government 'help'.
SHOOTING DOWN DRONES is dangerous and stupid. Then don't fly them over my home; that's what's dangerous and stupid.
SOMETIMES being hearing-impaired is a good thing.
RUN AND HIDE: the crushing wages of progressivism.
POWERLINE'S Week in Pictures is up. This week it's the creepy clown edition, but my favorites aren't clown related:

The hurricane wind scale, in case you missed it....

Trump's (should be) response to Hillary's sure-to-come misogyny allegations:

And as usual, there are many more. Follow the link above.
LEONARDO DiCAPRIO: Ban climate deniers from political office. Better idea: Ban actors from exposing expressing themselves in public.

Movies are much more enjoyable when you aren't aware the actors are lunatic idiots filmed in a mental institution.
DALLAS POLICE OFFICER files lawsuit against Black Lives Matter. Other defendants in the class-action suit include President Obama; Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton; the Rev. Al Sharpton; Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and billionaire activist George Soros.

Good luck, sir. I wish you every success.
OUR 'RULING CLASS' IS CORRUPT: Hillary Clinton’s disgraceful three-headed crime has compromised the FBI.

It's time: throw the elected bums out, never to return; then start vigorously weeding the entrenched bureaucracy.
GEORGE MOONBAT MONBIOT: No fracking, drilling or digging: it’s the only way to save life on Earth.

Yes, life on government cheese.
MALLARD FILLMORE on the NFL's National Anthem controversy.

Somehow I don't think the Social Justice Warrior crowd will make up the losses.
MOCK THEM: Huffington Post runs stupid article; internet responds.

Check out Iowahawk's twitter response (and all the others).
AMMO GRRRLL: This vote ain't Burger King; you don't get it your way.
