THE OUTRAGE CARD: another Joker in the liberals' deck.
SHOCKER: "[I]t takes a lot of money to stand up for the poor...."
GAIA RETREATS:
Environmentalist and scientist James Lovelock has some cautionary words about the dire predictions in the new United Nations report on climate change. He tells Britain’s leftist newspaper the Guardian that environmentalism has “become a religion” and does not pay enough heed to facts.
Do tell.
SIR DANA MILBANK, Knight of the Honorary Vagina.
DISS-OBAMA? "I was wrong about diss. It's a fine word. It means diss-respect. And connotes diss-may. And diss-honor. And diss-aster."
NANNYTASTIC: All vehicles to have rearview cameras by 2018.

Seat belts were supposed to increase safety, but had the unintended consequence of increasing speeding. Now rear-view cameras are supposed to protect 'seniors and young children' but I'm much less worried about what's behind me than I am about what's coming from the side when I pull out of a parking space.
THE STATE OF JOURNALISM AT CNN:

Yes, it is harder to stay aloft when you're running on empty.

HEH: Plenty of ammunition for anti-ObamaCare ads in the (pro-ObamaCare) New York Times.
POWERLINE: When Did Anthropogenic Global Warming Begin?
TAX THE CHILDLESS: We should slash taxes on parents by jacking them up for nonparents.

I'm okay with that; in fact, it's nothing more than a return to the 'good old days' when the wife stayed home to raise the children and the married father usually earned more than his unmarried counterpart for the same work. (Well, except then, the money went to the father/family and not to the government.)
COMMON CORE: not all it was cracked up to be? This is what happens when 'big things' are done in secret.

The video is here.
DC MAYOR, under an ethics cloud and facing the possibility of criminal charges, defeated in Democratic primary: "Do we have any honest politicians left?"

Not in D.C.
APRIL FOOLS: NPR wants to ban Girl Scout cookies.
It’s a pretty bold move to blast Girl Scout cookies, those precious sugary treats whose limited run from late winter to early spring is just about over for the year.

But a few brave voices argue it’s no longer all that delightful to see little girls peddling packaged cookies, or to buy them in the name of supporting the community. (And no, this is not an April Fools’ joke.)
Which explains why I never listen to NPR, or pretty much of anything government sponsored.
PUNCHING BACK: "Chevron, having shown in court that a rogue’s gallery of environmental activists, lawyers, and political hacks engaged in a criminal conspiracy to shake it down for billions of dollars, is now on the counterattack, going after the prestigious (and, today, struggling) Washington law and lobbying firm Patton Boggs."
JUDGE JEANINE: Obama, Putin and the perception of power.
THE COMPASSIONATE LEFT: Anti-ObamaCare cancer patient smeared by Reid now receiving death wishes from liberals.
MARCHING ORDERS for Democrats with bylines: Future HealthCare.gov outages ‘won’t be news’.
LESBIAN-ONLY CEMETERY to open in Germany:
In exchange for the use of the land for 30 years, the women will be responsible for maintaining and landscaping the grounds.
A woman's lesbian's work is never done....
CLIMATE SCIENTISTS TO GO ON STRIKE? Oh, please make it so!
HARRY REID and friend:

THE SCOREKEEPER on cow farts, global warming, and food (#2):
From Pirate's Cove, the latest global warming bull: "To Fight Climate Change, the Entire World Will Have to Eat Less Meat. Serious about battling climate change? Then you might want to consider going vegetarian. That’s because it’s looking like world temperatures will continue to climb unless people stop chowing on so much meat and dairy, according to new research from Sweden."

So the more meat we eat, the warmer the world -- and the warmer the world, the more species of food there will be to eat. Win, win. Thanks for the advice.
Much more here.
BUY CATERPILLAR [stock symbol CAT]: Execs tell Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI) to stuff his tax witch hunt.
GLENN HARLAN REYNOLDS: "'What's news' is just a synonym for 'what advances the narrative chosen by the Democratic Party'."
