THE NEW REPUBLIC: A bigger April 15 bill would mean a better society.

I think the author's chart proves the vacuity of the his claim. Yes, the U.S. is near the bottom in terms of tax collections as a percent of GDP, but I rather suspect the U.S. is at or near the top in terms of citizen standard of living.

Isn't that the proper measure of tax efficiency?
