OBAMANOMICS IN 13 CHARTS:

The American Enterprise Institute presents the case against.

The Atlantic presents the case for.
It seemed to me that the 'case for' charts relied more heavily on projections than data; the 'case against' charts seemed to rely more on past history and less on projections.

Read both and draw your own conclusion.
WHAT IF Catholic bishops aren't bluffing? I don’t believe they are.
FIGHTING BACK: "Royal Dutch Shell launched an extraordinary preemptive legal strike Wednesday against opponents of offshore oil drilling in the Arctic Ocean, filing suit against more than a dozen environmental organizations likely to challenge its plan for drilling exploratory wells in the Chukchi Sea this summer."
RANDOM THOUGHTS from the retirement lane. There's an old bit of folk wisdom that opinions are like assholes; everybody's got one. Most of what comes out of assholes is shit. Draw your own conclusion.
CHEVY VOLT temporarily halts production. Could it be because Obama has temporarily (permanently?) halted consumption?
OBAMA: I really, really like deserts.
RANDOM THOUGHTS from the retirement lane. On cat-tending: in order for Diamond to use her litter box (which is in the basement), I have to open the basement door – the cat door isn’t good enough, because who know what lurks behind the kitty door (usually Shadow) – and turn on the lights. Then she’ll go down.
ARE YOU SURPRISED YET? Lawmaker wants answers after cost estimate for ObamaCare rises by $111B.

I’m not.
FIGHT BACK: Keith Olbermann sued by video blogger.
THE SHOCKING TRUTH ABOUT DEFIBRILLATORS. The moral of the story is to always be the second cardiac arrest. Like the story about being chased by a bear, you don't have to be the fastest runner, just the second slowest.
OBAMA CAMPAIGN'S bully brigade rides again.

What liberals don't seem to understand is that swords have two edges. When they finally, really, truly, piss off the conservatives -- and they're very close -- that sword is going to be used against them. War isn't paintball, and it doesn't wash off.

Be warned.
SOLVE THE UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEM: Quit looking for work.
THE EARLY SQUIRREL GETS THE BIRDSEED.

ANOTHER $400 MILLION GONE. Even at 5 bucks a gallon, that's 80 million gallons of gasoline.
OBAMA CAMPAIGN DEMAGOGUERY: The GOP wants employer permission slips for birth control.

From the comments, I'd say Team Obama really screwed this one up.
THE SUBTLE CIRCUITRY behind LED lighting. We bought one not too long ago to serve as a reading light for bedtime reading. It worked great for a month or so before some of the LED's started flickering. I pulled it apart to see if there were any replaceable elements; there weren't. Now it's in the basement awaiting eventual disposal.
