'OCCUPY D.C.' FAIL: Washington Post's Dana Milbank is disappointed.
OCCUPY WALL STREET: ignorant and filthy (read the letter from the owners of Zuccotti park).

ADDED: Even The New Republic (a liberal web site) isn't amused.
NYC MAYOR BLOOMBERG says protestors can stay on, if they obey the law. Littering isn't against the law? Defecating on police cars isn't against the law? Public nudity isn't against the law?

Or does the law just apply to the rest of us?
HAROLD MEYERSON: Politicians should refuse all campaign contributions from Wall Street. I agree. And President Obama should take the lead in refusing contributions.
ALASKA FINALE -- PART II. The marine animals we saw. Otter, seals, whales, birds -- a little bit of everything. Here's an otter 'sunbathing' on the water near Seward. We saw several groups of otters relaxing on the surface.

Whale sighting. What's interesting about this photo is what you don't see -- a group of about 20 kayakers sitting on the water just outside the picture. They were paddling for home when the whale suddenly surfaced about 100 yards in front of them. They suddenly stopped, either by fear of being swamped or fascination with the whale so close by.

Just beyond this stop, a number of dolphins pursued our cruise ship for a mile or so. They were so close to the ship that no one could get a decent picture.

A seal sunbathing at water's edge.

Killer whales. They swam around the ship for perhaps 10 minutes before finally leaving us behind.

More seals relaxing on the rocks.

And finally, a puffin - one of many we saw. According to the park ranger who narrated our cruise, this bird lives entirely on the water, coming to shore only to mate: "They would never come on land if they could figure out how to give birth on the water."

DEMOCRATS seek to own ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement. Since the 'movement' is mostly astroturf, the Democrats are merely admitting the obvious.

If I were a Democrat politician, I'd be very nervous. From 'OCCUPY L.A.': Violence Will Be Necessary To Achieve Our Goals.
'OCCUPY D.C.' dilemma solved -- kick out everyone else.

Capitulation.
ALASKA FINALE -- PART I. Here are some scenic views from our marine cruise through Renaissance Bay starting in Seward. That's me, at the dock where the sport fishing boats bring in their catches.

Our cruise ship -- a catamaran.

The town of Seward, as we depart the breakwater.

Renaissance Bay.

Another view of the bay.

One of many glaciers -- more in a post to come.

The mountains, partially obscured by some (temporary) low clouds.

We were on the water all day, and this was the worst weather we encountered.
TANSTAAFL: Milton Freidman on 'free lunches' -- a lesson that the Occupy Wall Street protestors are just now learning. Paying $100,000 for spoiled food is not a good idea.
UMM, GOD -- OR NATURE -- is in charge of turbulence.
YOU'RE LIKE RATS who shit in their own nests.

Remind you of anything happening in the U.S. today?
DEMOCRATS slowly abandon democracy. Slowly?
