IT’S A BEGINNING, but I’d rather see earmarks to nonprofits and other NGOs banned since for all practical purposes they have become a shadow government.

Linked from Instapundit.
SURELY IT’S TIME TO START OVER: Democratic leaders should be asking themselves just how they have gotten to the point that their strategy is to amend a law that doesn’t exist yet by passing a bill without voting on it.
OBAMA URGES STRAIGHT UP-OR-DOWN VOTE ON CONSTITUTION
“The real obstacle to approval of my health care reform plan is this ancient charter of negative liberties that says what the states and the federal government can’t do to you,” President Obama said.

“The Constitution deserves the same kind of up-or-down vote that the Bush tax cuts received. Once we break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution, we’ll have no problem passing this historic health reform legislation.”
What worries me is the possibility that he actually believes this.
A BED OF THEIR OWN: “It's hard to pass unpopular legislation on party-line votes. It's not the Senate rules. It's called democracy.”

The Democrats made their bed. Now they get to sleep in it - alone.
BLACK EYE FOR U.S. EMBASSY IN KABUL? Well, maybe, but can embassy workers do their real jobs while catering to every Congressman and Administration official who shows up for a passport stamp and a photo-op?
HAS THE REVOLUTION BEGUN? Chris Muir seems to think it might.

MEMO TO THE MSM: Your science is awful.

Now click the author's name to his bio; the last sentence is, in my opinion, positive proof of impeccable scientific credentials.
KILLING BRAIN PARASITES with gold nanoparticles and lasers.

Without clicking through the link, my first thought was "Do it the old-fashioned way: nuke Congress." My second was that even if the gold was in the form of nanoparticles, gold was way to good for congresscritters.

The link, obviously, is to something else entirely. Or maybe not ... Nancy Pelosi, anyone?
