HOPE LOST, CHANGE IS LOSING

A long delayed $410 billion omnibus spending bill, loaded with nearly 9,000 (!) spending earmarks is now before the Senate.Minutes after hitting the Senate floor Monday,

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), is not happy.
We need earmark reform and when I’m president, I will go line by line to make sure we’re not spending money unwisely,” McCain said, reading back Obama’s words at a debate last fall. “That’s the quote, the promise of the president of the United States made to the American people in a debate with me in Oxford, Miss. So what is brought to the floor today — 9,000 earmarks.…So much for change.”

Hope & Change - it must be getting crowded under the Obama bus.

A SHAMEFUL ACT

What is being done to future generations of Americans today in Congress is one of the most shameful acts in our country's history. It's the equivalent of stealing the baby's milk money to buy Viagra and it is selfish, contemptible, and unworthy of the proud legacy we've been left by previous generations of Americans.
